FortiGate Login to the FortiGate device. To enable SNMP on the Interface: Navigate to System Network Interface. Select Edit on the interface allowing SNMP. Enable SNMP and select OK. Navigate to System Config SNMP Click on Create New below 'SNMP v1/v2c'. Give the community name, this should match the community name on the PRTG. Current lowmem utilization (percentage). Lowmem is memory available for the kernel's own data structures and kernel specific tables. The system can get into a bad state if it runs out of lowmem.

I'm trying to get the correct OIDs from my fortinet, and to do so I installed SnmpB on my Windows Box. I downloaded the MIBs from my Forti 111C and started to walk, but I found out that the OIDs I care about don't return anything. Others do (like
sysDescr.0 FortiGate
).So I want to see the CPU Load, the RAM, current sessions, and so on! But I can't walk them, because All I get back is
whenever I walk the whole folder host -> hrSystem, or any other single OID.
My host is allowed to query via SNMP, all the checkboxes on the forti are checked, other (basic) things work (uptime, hostname, interfaces, interface statistics, packet statistics, ans so on).
Any idea whats wrong?

Hi Team. Need your help. We are having issues polling snmp data to our new Fortigate 201E Firewall. We are new at using Fortigate Firewall, and still in the process of learning this Firewall. We are using PRTG as our snmp monitoring tool.
In the Global VDOM > System > SNMP I have already configured the correct snmp community, and have allowed the IP address of our monitoring server. I have also enabled SNMP on the interface. But I still cannot poll SNMP data from it.
I have called the Fortinet Support for help, they told me that its not gonna work because my interface are in a different VDOM - PROD VDOM. They said that though it is highly recommended to create another VDOM for my production traffic, it has a limitation with SNMP. I can only monitor the Firewall from an interface from a ROOT VDOM.
So I created a new interface just for monitoring that is in ROOT VDOM. It works, but I can only get snmp data for cpu. All other data like memory, interfaces, etc.. are not showing.
Note: I have already uploaded Fortigate Core MIB and Fortigate Health Template to my PRTG Server.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
